Dirty Fact Or Dirty Job, You Decide...

When one question goes as :" Sir / Miss, do you mind to support remanufactured toner or ink cartridges?"
Photobucket
Immediately, more than half a dozen of replies such as " The printer warranty will be voided by using remanufactured cartridges." , "The remanufactured cartridges will destroy the printer and consequently will not be serviced by the OEM service centre." , "Printout quality from remanufactured cartridges will not be as good as the OEM cartridges." , "The number of pages printout are not similar to the OEM cartridges." , "Remanufactured cartridges are cheating consumers with their lower than expected standard." and so on.

As usual the answers are not quite friendly to the question or rather indirectly not friendly to the environment as well it seems. Well this is how imbalance as one simple question are replied with more than half dozen of replies to counter the question.
Unfortunately, the imbalance of the replies simultaneously indicate the seriousness of the imbalance ecosystem and global labor exploitation as well.

Consumers are not to be blamed for having such false reputation regarding cartridges remanufacturing industry as OEM manufacturers have executed their strategy perfectly ingraining the "facts" into the consumers' mindset since long ago. However, consumers do not deserve to live in fear of voiding their printer warranty by using remanufactured cartridges.

Try puting yourself in the perspective of the OEM manufacturers and imagine all the consumers are accepting the idea of remanufactured cartridges will cause problems to their printers and printouts. Your revenue will increase incredibly.... Exactly, it is all about market domination !! Nothing else, so ask yourself again do you think living in fear of losing your OEM support and warranty by using remanufactured cartridges but limiting your choices to just one is fair?Photobucket

If they are to enforce such regulation or standard, then how about using their OEM printers and cartridges to print on recycled papers. That is supposed to void their warranty as well but they never bring out that issue which indicates there is no enforcement to such situation of using remanufactured cartridges will void the warranty. It is simply not much difference to dictatorship.
Photobucket
Besides, for the warranty issue for OEM printers which use remanufactured cartridges. We can refer to solid proof provided in Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of America. Over there is one rule stated that no manufacturer of OEM printers can void consumer's warranty solely due to the fact that if they are using remanufactured cartridges. The manufacturer must prove that the printer failed as a direct result of using the non OEM cartridges. This hardly happened to be honest.

Just imagine if the automobile industry will limit consumers to only use their own petrol while the warranty and service will be voided if the consumers are found to be using other petrol.

So ask yourself back, why pay more for OEM cartridge's advertisement fee while you can get a remanufactured cartridge for 50% less than the OEM price with equivalent printout quality and cartridge life span.

Again, you can support remanufacturing cartridges and recycle the cartridge by offering to us rather than sending them back to the OEM manufacturers for recycle purpose. There is always something sinister behind the OEM profuse effort of collecting their cartridges from consumers for "recycling" purpose. The next article will reveal the dark side of the OEM cartridges recycling
industry.

Finally, remanufacturing or recycling cartridges could be considered as one hell of a tough and "dirty" job. However, it is up to the consumers to choose between a "dirty" task or a "dirty" truth. Once again remember not to live in fear and limit your own choice as consumers. You deserved more than this. You are the trump card in the system for restoring balance back to the environment.

Please be reminded that we, remanufacturers are not trying to wipe out completely the OEM cartridges in the market but rather trying hard to bring a balance in the system.

It's More Than Business, It's About Future..

Well, It's been few months we have not done any updating on this site due to some hectic schedule. However, as promised in the first article that more insight information regarding this remanufacturing business will be revealed.

Lets start with plastic wastage. Okay plastic wastage which consist of some broken CPUs, laptops, PC accessories, monitors etc... among all the mentioned wastage are no doubt hazardous to the environment if they are not taken care properly. However, the major threat posed among the plastic wastage are ink and toner cartridges as these consumables are thrown away once finished while CPUs and laptops as well as accessories are not that frequently in the dump-list.

That is why ink and toner cartridges are considered one of the most potent-environment-killer due to the the plastic material used to build the cartridges will take at least 1000 years to decompose and is mixed resin, one of the most difficult plastic to recycle. Other circumstances like the leaked ink might be absorbed by the ground.

Around the globe, estimated over 350 million cartridges are dumped each year which the total weight is equivalent to more than 67000 Ford Explorers or over 110000 Volkswagen Beetles!! Or I would say that gotto be one hell of a Tsunami-cartridge dump fest going on !!!
Ford ExplorerVolkswagen Bettle
Alright so we were talking about cartridges made of plastic and how the situation might turn astray if the dumping rate of OEM or virgin cartridges are not curb as soon as possible; but do you all know that the plastic is made from petroleum (oil) products. Okay. For your information, the average of each plastic in cartridge requires almost a gallon of oil in it's production!!!

(1 Gallon = 4.5 Liters)
1.5 liters Pepsi1.5 liters Pepsi1.5 liters Pepsi
As a result, if the world still keep up the pace of OEM cartridges production .... indirectly or perhaps we should say directly this issue will affect the natural resources decreasing to an alarming-low level. Once the natural resources are drying up and the balance of the mother earth will be affected tremendously. The signs are there for all to see mainly global warming issue.

So I say it is time to cut down but NOT wipe out the production of virgin product and begin remanufacturing to preserve or at least slow down the exploitation of natural resources like oil in cartridge plastic production.

Lastly, I hope this brief article can open up most of your perspective regarding remanufacturing business which users must understand that they are not using remanufactured cartridges for the sake of cost saving purpose but most crucial of all... for the future as well....

Unfortunately, most users are still reluctant to use remanufactured product due to the fact that they are still in the state of mind where the OEM threaten them with warranty issue, support issue etc... In fact they have done a fantastic job of brain-washing the consumers with their brilliant strategy.

Stay tune for the next topic as I will uncover the truth behind the masterminded-strategy to halt the remanufacturing business by the OEM organisations.
